I have looked there but would rather find from here if possible but it's an option.
It it's somewhat cooling, but not very well- check the fan motor in the back at the bottom. Sometimes they go bad or become stuck with a wrapper, mice, etc.
It could be that simple.

Also, if the space is unheated, that can cause trouble too. Because they're designed to run at typical indoor temps. If it's less than about 45 in the garage, that could be a problem too.

I don't hear it doing anything but the light comes on when you open the door. Not sure on the temp in the garage but it's chilly.

I have no idea how to check that. My dad can't screw a lightbulb in. 🤣
In a lot of them, there's a mechanical timer, look in the fridge, near the light bulb, in the middle of the plastic housing, behind where the controls are…and you may see a round hole. You can use a small flat-blade, and turn the timer clockwise.

The newer models have a defrost board that would have to be changed.
