Just heard 2 shots about 10 minutes apart not too far from where I am. Was about to go eat and head to my other spot for the afternoon but I thinj I will sit another hour or so.

Nothing this morning but squirrels and chipmunks has lunch now in afternoon spot till dark. Old timber next to a clear cut.

Yea this has been par for the course for me. I do think I have found the right spot it is heavily traveled and a transition area between bedding areas and food sources. Just too warm and humidity was very high. Only heard those two shots about 11:30 in the area and they were probably a mile or more away. Never heard another till dark.

Will be back out in the morning and the again Tuesday. I feel good about this spot.
