Pick up location Percy Priest WMA... Just kidding
but if you left your tree lounge out there and you are a member here Id like to talk to you and trade info. I have been hunting the area I found it in for years.

easy 30-30... was being friendly. Just figured who ever left it may want to know what i know about the area, local land owners and maybe make a new hunting buddy. That's all

Tree Stands

The use of wire, nails or other metal material is prohibited in the building or attaching of climbing devices or hunting stands. Portable devices or stands that do not injure trees can be used. Hunting from permanent, attached stands is prohibited. Leaving any personal property, including tree stands, unattended for more than 24 hours is prohibited without prior approval of the area manager

100% correct but ask if you can get permission from the area manager, reckon if your buddys you can get permission, his tree stand is supposed to be marked with his twra # and if it isn't pull it and give the details to the area manager

I know this post I'm about to make doesn't apply to what the OP is saying, but you just gave some bad advice IMO

DO NOT EVER "pull it and give the details to the area manager"

Give the details to the area manager and don't dare take it down for any reason. If I (or TWRA) caught you "pulling" a stand, you would likely be getting a ticket for theft.

how would it be theft if given to the manager? im not a thief and play by the rules, how many people can walk in and find a stand that some cant half way find after they put it up them self's?

I'm not saying it is theft, but you aren't going to talk your way out of it if you are caught taking it down.. I sure as heck wouldn't believe "I was going to give it to the area manager" Simply because that isn't your place to do so unless told to with prior permission

My climber has dog tags pop riveted to them with my name and twra # because I choose to hunt within the rules .now I have never taken any but I dont leave mine over nite on public land.seen several at yanalli last year but I didnt go near and found other spots to hunt.
