FoxPro Firestorm -or- Fury 2?

Called this fox while crow hunting with a buddy. We were using a dying crow call from his FoxPro Firestorm. He came within 30 yards so I didn't hesitate to put some 7 1/2 shot out of my 12 gauge on him.

Anyhow, now I interested in buying a FoxPro unit. I'm torn between the Firestorm and the Fury 2. Anybody got experiences with these models?

Fury 2 hands down. The remote itself is worth it. Picks up alot better and has extra features such as foxfade and fox cast, fire storm doesnt. They both have foxbang and that is a must have IMO.

That's what I'm leaning towards. I just had to justify the extra $100 for a different remote and 2 additional features.

FoxPro has refurbed Fury units for $425. A new Fury 2 is $499 and Fury is $599 at Basspro. Whats the difference between the Fury and Fury 2?

If i am not mistaken the fury offered FoxBang as an option and the furyII it is standard...other than that i cant see any other difference. i use a Scorpoin and have a homemade external speaker system amplified for those really big areas or wind. BTW fox and a battery powered call...i would be careful with that

It is an old "alarm horn" with a radio shack external amplifer. the horn is mounted on an old pelican case...slick lil deal but little bulky but LOUD!!!...i wil take some pics and post them with some more details ifn yalls want i do. BTW this thing is really loud...great for callin crows on Fri, Sat & Sun

The Amplifer is Radio Shack model277-1008C, runs on 9V battery and easy set up. Just run head phone jumper (normal headphone jack)from external speaker output on Scorpion to the input on Amp and then another jumper to from the external speaker output on amp to biga$$ horn speaker. you can adjust the amp volume because it is alos a speaker but once you plug in the jumpers it cancelles out the speaker. this allows you to adjust the amplified output to the horn making it 3 times as loud and the internal speaker on the scorpion. i drilled a hole in the box to run antenna out of and it work great...like i said lil bulky but about $20 in parts cuz i had the box and thats $90 cheaper than the speakers that FoxPro offers on their website.

Fury 2 comes standard with foxbang, I have the fury 1 and sent it back and had it upgraded and cost me over a 100 bucks.

I ran one of foxpros sp-55 on my scorpion and spitfire its heavy but loud as can be. With the fury though there is no need for external its loud.

Thanks for the heads up! I made an incorrect assumption re: TN regs on fox hunting. Luckily this fox was taken on my family's property in Oxford, MS. Regs are very liberal in MS.
