Preferred specs: 4x4, runs good with no major problems, no smoking or leaks

Dang you just missed Lasermans atv. It was exactly what you are asking for but I think it was cheaper than 2k.

Don't overlook a Rancher 350 in 2wd cause they are great machines and lightweight. With some halfway good tread on the tires you can basically go anywhere a 4x4 can go.

I know, im sad i missed out on it. I was gonna get it and backed out due to second guessing my need for one, then called him to try again and he had just sold it. been kicking myself ever since.

Honda recon is a tough machine . Stole one from a dealer some kid got for Christmas and brought it back a few weeks later . Got it out the door for 1600 bucks with near zero time on it . Sold it several years later for 2500

I have a new kawasaki teryx that i love, but i couldnt live without my little honda recon. Dont overlook a light 2wd. You cant really get em stuck

I was going to mention the Recon. They are great budget friendly atvs and are nimble to get down any trail really.
