Not sure why he died or if he was killed. Nice buck for middle tennessee though.





I thought it was at first, but the hole in his neck is not a wound. Looked like something made that hole by chewing.

120" or so buck. I did not keep the whole skull. Just cut the horns after I contacted the game warden to be sure it was ok to keep the horns. Nice buck, sucks if someone lost him. he was on corps property.
 
Probably someone got buck fever and made a bad shot. Did you keep it?

Edit saw you didn't keep the skull.

I found one rotted that was too nice not to keep. I boiled the skull in a couple changes of water - first it turned the water green. No it didn't smell good, but the end result was great.

Did you measure him? Looks closer to 140 IMO Have one on the wall like him thats 144

your 140 is bigger than that buck, I think 120s is a realistic guess
