Logan hung into this 12 pound beast between the people swimming at smith springs and the island in front of it. I mean right between the two!
I will let the smile on his face tell the story! This is a freaking hawse of a hybrid!

Man that's a beast of a hybrid!! I bass fish Smith Springs all the time in my kayak. Just got a sonar depthfinder and am brand new to marking fish with electronics. Spent a long time yesterday out in the middle of the lake looking at what I thought were hybrids or rockfish beneath balls of baitfish. I was dropping big spoons below me jigging them up and down hoping for a hit but got nothing. Caught that beast on the same size crankbait you were using for crappie huh?
 
Yep! I have seen these bandits catch stripe, crappie, catfish, drum, hybrid, large mouth and small mouth. I am not sure of a,species they won't catch.

Congrats on the hybrid. I am in the process of putting my depth finder on the new boat and will hopefully be out there on priest today for a test run and some trolling. I will be trolling shad raps and jointed shad raps, they seem to catch about everything too.
