And the match! This is a deer I call "Deja Vu" He strongly resembles a ten point I killed in 2014. He's a little smaller, but same antler configuration. I had seen the attempt at splits on his G2s and told myself next year he might split them and add some character. Ironically he cleaned up this year instead! It was last year he was split. I've been watching this deer since the summer. He was one of the first big ones to show up on my cameras but a couple larger deer showed up. I had them down as being mature from the basic mistake of looking at their antlers in the summer and planned my season around them. After getting October photos I decided to hold off this year though. Today I went to remove some trail cameras and in "Deja Vu's" area I knew I had a little time to kill and not enough to go check more cams so I wandered the side of the ridge I hadn't been on. He has a bed behind a deadfall that I was attracted to from a very large cedar rub. This deer is a pig. Huge body. 5.5 and 6" base. The sheds score 150.25 with a 16" spread. Now I have a lot of reason to find the next set!

Nice rack.

Are you saying that you found last year's or this year's sheds today? Is that the way you found on the creek?
No, sorry I meant to clarify that. I thought it was a cool picture. That creek leads into the swamp he was bedding in during the summer. I actually got pictures of him using the bed!

The sheds are last years

TN or KY deer? Great one either way!
This is a KY deer. I don't spend much time hunting in TN anymore. Not that there aren't big deer here.. my highest potential deer is actually a TN buck that, if he lives and follows a normal growth trend, should likely make a Boone and Crockett in the next year or two
