Found copper item in river...

We found this today while wading/ fishing the Obed River. It's copper and the opening in the bottom seems to be filled with rock.

Any ideas?

The end of it looks almost like it divides into 3 separate pipes. I'll try to post a couple more pictures, it's around here somewheres.... it's about 3 inches by 3.5 inches.
