Found a dead one

Went to the club to do a little bit of work. (Fayette County) Found a dead deer in an overgrown field. I know, its just one. Could be EHD (wasn't near water) but we're in the middle of CWD territory, so it could be either. Appeared to be a doe and had been there probably less than a week. I wouldn't have seen it if it were not for the buzzards. Just hoping its an isolated death. I didn't do too close of an inspection as it was pretty rank.

Hate to see it, but not overly surprised. as it happens. Could have been birth complications as well.

hope its just an isolated case of natural death. its certainly been dry enough for EHD here in SW TN.

I went to check on the carcass yesterday and it was completely gone, even the bones. I did remember there's a swampy pond nearby so I'm suspecting EHD on this one.
