I've never been here, where is it and how can you go there to hunt? Err, well how do you get permission. Do you need a ky license?

You talking about Fort Campbell?

Goodness, I just realized I left that bit of info out, that's what I get for posting at work.

Yes fort Cambell, I edited my post to be more clear.

There is already a Fort Campbell thread, but if you want information from the source, call 270-798-2175 or go online http://campbell.armymwr.com/us/campbell ... ms/hunting

Just to give you a start.. but call that number and I can talk to you about it more if you want.

Ft Campbell is located in Christian Co/Trigg Co KY and Montgomery Co/Stewart Co TN. You need hunter safety card, state hunting license and permits from either KY or TN, Buy your Ft Campbell hunting permit for either big game, small game or combo. Register your firearms if you gun hunt. No centerfire rifles allowed, only shotgun with slugs, muzzleloader, or archery for deer. No conceal and carry allowed, You can use rimfire or shotgun for small game.

I'm not gonna lie, it's a hassle sometimes to get an area b/c most of the areas are full by the time civilians get to choose an area. We use a call in system that you reserve an area for each day, you can call in 2 days prior at a specific time. Supposedly there will be a new computer based reservation system this year... which can be easier or harder, we don't know yet.
