My buddy is a wounded vet and asked me to go with him there this yr. Neither of us have ever been tho we always wanted to go. We called and they said each would have to complete a application and our weapons would have to be registered at the gate. What does registering a firearm consist of. Anything we need to have done before hand? And can the application be emailed or faxed? I know everything used to have to be done personally but I know I have heard everything is done differently now. Can we do everything we need to (paperwork) without making a trip up there?

You can send permit request by fax or email. Make sure to send copy of hunting license and hunter education card too. Weapon registration must be done in peron at gate 4 visitor center, closed on weekends, just go to visitor center with info on weapons you are registering, serial number, make and model, caliber, and type of finish.
