for those using feeders

It depends on what you want to feed. I'm feeding turkeys right now so my feeder goes off twice per day…7:30 am and 3pm. This way the turkeys have a chance to eat it all and leave none for the coons at night.

I set mine to feed once, mid-day. I don't want to disturb morning or evening animal movement activities. I adjust the amount of corn so their is always a little on the ground right before it feeds again. I use a solar panel, and I never have to worry about the battery dying. I have two of the same setups, both hold 300#'s and I only have to check on them about twice a year, once after deer season, and once after turkey season.
