Did some panfishin today and brought a few home. All the crappie I caught were undersized, a disappointment. However, they were fun to catch anyway.

Bluegills didn't disappoint so much. I took home 10, two of which were my buddy's that got throat hooked and wouldn't survive being released. The big shellcracker was mine, it measured 9 inches. I caught most of my fish on a black/chart Crappie Magnet under a cigar bobber. That's a good panfish lure!

Going to eat these for lunch. Debating how I will cook them... not deep fried this time.

here are the results

about half of what I made is on the plate. Made batter with beer instead of milk, added salt, pepper and paprika. Cooked the fish and mashed it up and mixed it into the batter, fried in a pan like pancakes. It turned out well...
