I have an oppurtunity to plant a food plot in an area where some deer cross frequently. What do you recommend to plant right now. Plenty of sunshine where it is located. I probably will not hunt it until December and it is in Blount County (East Tennessee).

wheat or oats, if you plant rape, turnips, kale etc.. I think that you will get a frost and the deer will eat the rape etc. before it grows enough to sustain browsing pressure. Just my thoughts.

I planted Buck Forage Oats,Ladino Clover and Turnups Wednesday. the 22nd I hope that close enough to Mid Oct. Yeah, and now it's raining!!!!!!!!

Anyone ever plant Winterpz? It's a mix of winter peas, forage oats, triticale, and clover. The bag says that it can be planted from August through fall. I planted a small plot of it yesterday. I know it's late, but I decided to take a chance.
