Food Plot?

New to the food plot thing. I am wanting to put some sort of food plot by my stand but its all woods. So I guess my question is what is the best thing to use in the woods? If there is anything.. Its going to be full of shade. And when is the best time to put it out? I would love to have something that I can plant here soon. Thanks for any info..

Woods?Best chance in my opinion would be wheaat,in the fall,not much gonna grow in the shade.

Another thought,if it is dirty woods,some browse,not just big trees,a couple of bags of lime and fertilizer may be good by themselves.

There is nothing you can plant now for a hunting plot. Spend your time now cutting some trees and making a clearing for the plot.
