I'm about to plant some food plots in the next month or so. I have several small (less than 1/2 acre) spots to plant. I have an ATV boom sprayer to spray roundup. We will have access to a disc to use. What should we plant for fall plots?

The only plots I've done in the past were at Cathole and I was just following directions :D

Ive had great luck with just ww and clover. This year Im adding some cow peas. I plan the first second full weekend in september and have a nice plot by late oct. The pic below was taken on Oct. 25 two years ago and we didnt get rain for a good while after I planted.

I have planted everything. Oats and wheat are tops for attractant. I dont like pre mixed varieties. With that being said i did plant a bag of evolved harvest mega plot last year and that plot definately had more use than any of my others.

First spray roundup good and throw down some 10-10-10 if you haven't done a soil sample. I buy 50lbs of clover and mix in 20lbs of brassica that way I have a full attractant from planting time to late season when the brassica turns. Then in the spring your clover will really take off and be a great all season plot!

on small plots ,I would go with stuff that can take browse pressure,a 1/4 acre of beans will get eaten quickly,Id try to establish white clover, and mix in oats, wheat
