Food Plot Question

Has anyone had success with the throw & grow products? If they work well, when is the best time to put them out for fall food plots?

I put it out last year on a small plot I cleared in the woods. I did bush hog and scratch the ground with my box blade. It put a good blanket of green on the ground, but it was mostly rye grass with a few broad leaf plants. My 7 year old killed a small 8 point on the plot.

Yes it will work,but mostly ryegrass,not really high on their list,but they will eat it.Wheat is just as easy to grow,and they like it better.
