Food plot question

What would grow during Aug,Sept,Oct in a partly sunny area?
This would be a deer food plot in the woods.

Wheat will grow in the bed of a truck during those months as long as we get a shower or two.

oats, wheat, turnips

I will try wheat and oats again, just seems the deer avoid it until last resort.
Turnips was hit and miss, definitely going to plant a mix this time. I wasn't sure if they would grow in the woods. Normally I have cleared an open area for plots. All I ever planted in the woods has been clover patches.

My favorite has been purple hull peas, but the deer mow them down so fast it never lasts.
