hello my name is travis and i am in the process of starting my own company. Food plot creations. I will be a full service wildlife managment company. I will offer complete food plot prep for any game animal. (deer, turkey, dove, ect.) I will also offer other services such as pond fertilization. bushhogging. making minerial licks. hanging posted signs, ladder stand and box blind constuction. along with about anything else you could want. I am working on my diploma in wildlife/forestry conservation and think this will be a great venture. please feel free to let me know you comments, sugetions, and so on.
 
also if anyone is interested in any of these services drop me a line. I have the tractor and equipment ready to work.
 
I am willing to travel up to 200 miles any any general direction. as far as pricing i am going to do it on a job to job basis. probably areound 40 hr plus fuel for travel. i will have a $100 min, you can do alot with a small tactor in the ways of food plots in an hour. this is a company in the start up stages though and i am willing to work with people on the price to get started if they will let me use them as a refrence once the work is done on a satifactory basis. and the reason i cannot give a hard price is beacuse every food plot is different and in a different location. that is why i think hourly is more fair. that way. you dont have to pay the same as another guy that say needs bushogging done before i can start. i do notice you are in powell which is close if this is where you want the plot i could give you a better deal because if it is under 50 miles i probalby could eat the fuel cost to get a job that could be done in one day and get me back home. no loding fee for me cheaper for you.
 
Our lease is in Morgan county just outside of sunbright.We haven't decided whether or not to try and put any plots in this year because,of all of the logging going on right now.I will keep you in mind though if the other members decide they want to plant for fall.
 
please keep me in mind. i should also mention if i can do more than one plot on your property i could probaly cut an even better deal beacuse that saves me from loading up and driving somewehere else. thanks for the interest.

How heavy is your equipment? We've got some pretty hard ridge-tops out here in westcentral TN!
 
neat idea - if I had the money, I'd love to have that kind of work done on my hunting area in Hardeman County (west TN).

Never really heard of thoses types of services being offered much, though. Wish you the best.

I've seen people attempt starting such a business numerous times, and your comment is exactly why the businesses fail. Those who can afford paying for such services go ahead and buy a tractor themselves. Those who don't own a tractor can't pay the price necessary for the business to make a profit. Equipment transportation and repair costs are the real killer.
 
$24.00 per hour for diesel on 95 hp tractor, running at 2200 rpm, throw in a few flats, chemical spills from busted hoses, slow pay, getting everything done in correct time zone, good luck, but it will hardly ever work, even on a break even basis.

:cool: Good luck Grizz. They were doing this in Georgia when i left 11 years ago and it could work if you can get enough interest......but based on my experience it could become very cost ineffective just for the very reasons mentioned above not to mention the fact that the more you haul that tractor around the more you risk wrecks, break downs and so forth. Take it slow and dont try to get everywhere at once. I can tell you now that hauling that rig any more than 40 miles is gonna wear you out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
200 will kill you!
