I wanted to share a few pics of my food plots. We finally got enough dry weather during a weekend to get some seed in the ground. This is basically one field that I've divided into three sections with different crops.



This is a view of my shooting house overlooking it all. You can see the young corn in the foreground with Eagle Beans in the distance surrounded by a Plotsaver ribbon.

This is 8 day old corn that you can almost see growing. :cool:

Here is my personal favorite - Eagle Soybeans. Planted these for the first time last year and they worked great at bringing in deer, both prior to frost and then once the seeds dried out in late season. Please be kind about the crooked rows. ;)

This is some Will Ladino that I frost seeded the first weekend of March into last year's soybean plot. I then clipped the beans and now it looks pretty good.

I'll let it grow up and get a little more "brushy" than this before the season opens in September.
 
I just found out that we had a bad thunderstorm come through where our farm is. There was quite a bit of small hail. I hope the plots weren't damaged. I'll go check and see tomorrow.

I may be a little dense, but who or what is BH? (I'm new here)

I just came back from respraying the liquid on the plotsaver ribbon and all I can say is wow, that stuff stinks. It wasn't too bad when I first mixed it up, but after it spending ten days in a 100 degree garage it is rank! At least you can mix it a little thinner to go farther and save some money this way.

I got some of it on my hands so I think I'm going to go wash in gasoline now.
