Thought I would share a few pics from our food plots.

The lighter green in the upper left is where we have been planting a rape and turnip patch. It has worked great.

Red and crimson clover, chicory and wheat. That is what we were required to plant. We got financial assistance (WHIP program)through the NRCS office and TWRA. We also planted 5 acres of warm season grasses. They haven't done to well. We have a 5 year contract. After that we can do as we like. We did all of the work on our own, except for the dozer work and the financial assistance paid for all of our work.

Even though its required you plant,. thats a very productive mix. Hard to beat that for tn soils for max forage and production when it counts.

Thanks guys. We got lucky and only had to add a little potash to the soil. Never had any experience planting anything, but these fields turned out great.
