Food Plot Is Looking Good (Pictures)

A few pictures of a food plot that I planted a little while ago. The deer have not hit hard at all. It is a mixture of rye, oats, chicory, clover, and brassica. I really expected the deer to utilize it more and maybe they will. I will let it stand awhile longer.

Just from my experience and my opinion...Your grass seems to be too high. When it gets that high the deer will not eat it because it gets tough. My second opinion is that your deer won't "hammer" your brassica and chicory until you get some cooler weather. It sweetens the plants. JMO though!! Good Luck!

at the plots on the lease deer didnt touch them until after they were bushhogged down( figured we planted the wrong stuff) then they started showing up like crazy I have no clue why

It is true once the oats and rye get too high the deer will look for other browse. I plan on cutting it a little lower.
