1st---soil test

2nd-- decide if you want a spring/summer crop, like buckwheat, or beans, or milo or a year round food source like clover. Wait till after last frost before planting anything.

3rd- amend soil with lime, and fertilizer, according to soil test, and then work soil in to a good seed bed if broadcasting. Use some means of making the seed contact the soil, cultipacker, wooden post, piece of chain link fence, but be sure not to plant or cover the seed to deep. Pray for rain. LOL.

**some plants will require a lot more maintance and attention that others to be

successful.

If you have any ideas on a particular plant you want to grow, I can be more specific.

Hope this helps

i would like something for spring, summer, and winter if possible. im new to this just want something for deer and turkeys.

If fall planting i would recommend wheat/oats mix and plant about 3 pounds of ladino white clover with it. cant beat this fall/winter mix.
