Food Plot Eaten to Shreds.....

i have about 6 food plots.....the one i am refering to...is a new plot...in what turns out to be in a great location....

2-3 weeks ago the plot was 8-12 inches high....checked it out this weekend...its no higher than 3-4....the deer are tearing it up...eaten way down....i know this is a good thing

the question i have is....
can a food plot get to the point where there is nothing left...not sure about this...but it looks like by the second season...it could be gone...maybe not...i dont know...can someone comment on this...
 
should we be concerned ...what are the chances of the deer eating here...finding one of our other 5 plots?
 
Food plots eaten to the dirt are a concern. It means you don't have enough natural food resources for the current herd density, especially when food plots are eaten to the ground before winter arrives.
 
Ive got a plot that has buck forage oats in that are just below the knee mixed with turnips that are knee high. When and if they get on it it should be good. The deer in my area just seem to be feeding in pastures right before dark and sure alot after dark. They are staying in the pastures and cut bean fields right now. Bring on some more frosts and cold weather.
