Just thought I'd post a follow up now that I'm back up runnin -

The carb on the Outlander was full of crap - I thought it was picking it up from the tank so I cleaned all that out real well, but it didn't solve the issue - well the crap was already floating around in there and no amount of cleaning the tank would fix it - so cleaned out the carb/jets and runs great -

HOWEVER -

When I went to put it in gear - nothing - zero - zip - nada -

no forward low or high no reverse - didn't have Richard -

Belt was loose so - 60 bucks for a new belt -

Nope.

Seems the centrifugal clutch assy was seized up - now that's about 1500 part/assy and no telling the labor -

So I went to my neighbor who is a dang good shade tree guy -

He pulls the entire thing and it's rusty - water sitting up in it apparently - so he cleans it all up and oils it up good - had to use is tractor to push the dang thing back on - use caution if that spring pops in your face I swear you're a dead man -

Anyway - got it all on and running great again -

Wanted to post so folks know that that assy can be pulled and cleaned so don't let a shop tell you that you must have a new 1500 assy to make it work -

I paid him 750 - well less that half of what it would have cost at a shop :)

Happy happy happy -
