unless somebody put them there, they would also be everywhere downstream to the ohio river. i don't believe it.
 
If someone did see them it could have been regular carp or grass carp.... people misidentify stuff pretty often
 
For anyone who does not believe it, the person who told me is may be more knowledgeable about the outdoors than anyone on this website. He said if you will agree to eat everyone he catches, just come on down. There were a few in the 25-28 range lb and some were jumping completely out on the bank. How many regular carp or grass carp have you seen jump completely out of the water and onto the bank, or sitting in the parking lot on the generator side you could see them jumping out of the water.

They lock through the dams just like a boat. They'll be under Dale Hollow Dam before it's over. Might be entertaining to see how the water turds (PWC's) on Old Hickory handle them. A 10 to 15 lb fish in the mouth going 50 mph would probably hurt a little.
 
Originally came in the ballast water of boats. Same as zebra muscles.

I swear, that is what I heard one guy say.

In the IL river, they are plumb dangerous. Had a friend get some ribs broke.
 
Some people eat them and claim they are good. Guess it all depends on how hungry you are. I had smoked carp at some TWRA gathering years ago and it was quite good.
