Tried a search, but haven't found any updated info.

I'm heading to Reelfoot this weekend for a family reunion. I haven't been there since I was a kid. How is the fishing now since the flooding that happened a couple months back? I know Reelfoot is/was known for some good crappie. Is that still the case or would you recommend I fish for something else?
 
It is still a very good crappie fishing lake! they are realy biting right now. go to lakeview reastraunt and right across the street is a gift shop/boat dock. if u get out in the water, get about 200yrds off that boat dock straight out, get in about 12.5ft of water, and fish about 8-10ft, and man you will wear them out. i caught several nice keepers right there this past weekend. Thanks for the tips. We're going to be staying at a place called Cypress Point. They're supposed to be on the lake and offer some good fishin' and boat rentals. Gotta brush up on my crappie skills. I've spent the last 8 or 10 years fishing for trout and cats (and blue gill when I take the little one). :)
 
Yep, that is the place im talking about, i had forgotten the name until you said it. But if straight out from their boat dock, at a 1oclock angle, you will see a point on the other side of the lake, its called green island point. If you go about 200 yards torawds that point, and get in that 12.5 foot of water, i really think you will do good.

I didn't realize Reelfoot had 12' ANYWHERE! :D

Haven't been there since I was a kid, and my dad done all the navigating then, but all I remember is being 1/2 mile from the dock in the middle of the lake and hitting stumps. :D
