Schools of stingrays were cruising the beach in the am.
One older guy had a keeper pompano.
Didn't see much more action off the beach where we were.
If you surf fish for pompano, try getting some river clams and cut them into pieces about the size of a postage stamp. Be sure to get a little bit of the tough "foot" on each piece and hook through it.
If you are staying at a hotel or condo, do some aerial recon. Look for cuts through the sand bars and fish there. They will look darker. Another good spot is where a sandbar pinches the channel down close to the beach, especially if your equipment limits your casting range.
