Fishing gloves ?

Ok been seeing several pros wearing these gloves.

They look very thin, have no fingers and no palms?

Sun protection?
I thought maybe it kept the rod and reel from wearing blisters but it looks like the only thing it protects is the back of their hand??

Just wondering.

yep I think its for sun.. I think aaron martins wears them.. plus long sleeves and sometimes even wraps his face up..

My partner uses them for sun protection and he says he hardly even knows he is wearing them once he got used to them. He also wears a full face protector, even in the hottest of weather and never gets sunburned. I am not sure what brand they are but he has really fair skin and his doctor suggested he wear them to protect his sensitive skin.

I wear them sometimes when I fish in Florida, especially tarpon fishing in august.Gloves and a buff and I'm good to go.

I wear gloves, a buff(neck and face protector) and a long sleeve shirt. The sun is deadly.
