Same here except for putting in at Ckville Boatdock. The water is warm, colored, and they have been biting good the past couple of weeks.

When we got there we found out someone was putting on tour so we paid the $40 and got in on the action. We were exticed to see that the water had good Color and water temps around 52. We caught 18 fish, best 5 weighed 12.34 and it took 17 to get in the money. First place had 19.

We were crazy to even get in the tour cause that was the first time we have been on the hill since may, bass fishing anyway. We caught 7 smallies out on the main lake on jerkbaits but all but one were under 18. The rest were 16 or 17. We caught a 4 lb largemouth in creek on a jig.

No pics cause it rained hard most the day and my cell was buried in a dry place

They bit good on Saturday, but it was one of those poor execution days for me. I am glad that I decided to just go fishing instead of fishing the tournament. I only put 4 in the boat and lost 2 big largemouth and 1 big smallmouth that I saw plus missed a bunch of bites. I got aggravated at about 1:30 and put it on the trailer. I went with a buddy on Sunday, and even though they didn't bite as good, the execution was better. We didn't fish long and boated 11 bass and 1 drum. I normally don't take pictures of "trash" fish, but it was one of the biggest ones that I have ever caught and the biggest from Center Hill. It was a giant. I wished now that I would have weighed it but was tired of fooling with it at the time and glad to have my crankbait back. It was well over 20 if not close to 30.

Jerkbait and jig for us.
Nice drum. Last year i told my fishing buddy that we needed to find a drum tournament somewhere (lol) because he could catch drum with the best of them. Never would have thought that drum would hit so many different types of bass lures but we caught on just about everything except topwater.

I have a Baxter address but not in the city limits. I live within 5 - 10 minutes of three put in spots on the Hill. The most familiar would be the Cookeville Boatdock. I can actually hear boats from my house as Mine Lick Creek is about a 5 minute walk from my back door. Dale hollow is about 45 mins to an hour away, but I do work in Livingston. I fish DH some but grew up fishing CH since it is so close. It has been good the last few year so I have fished DH less. I absolutely love fishing up there of the night though. I am about 30 mins from Cordell Hull as well so it is nice to have 3 lakes within reason.
