Does anyone know where I can buy some fish to stock my pond with? I have looked online but can't find anything. I would like to get some of those carp that don't reproduce. I would also like to buy some bass. I know a long time ago there was a truck that would come out and sell fish but I have no clue who it was. Any help would be appreciated. I'm located in Wilson County.

Triploid grass carp (sterile) run $10 a piece but you don't need to stock many if it's not a big pond. You gotta have experts determine how many grass carp are good for your pond based on its size and amount of weeds. Too many = no weeds, turbid water, too few = too many weeds.

Put in some bass, catfish, bluegills, fathead minnows, shellcracker... there are certain balances you have to get so you don't end up with few bass and 1,000,000,000 bluegills or something like that.

All this info is just stuff I have gathered online while doing a bit of research... one day I hope to have my own small lake built for big fish and a good variety of species.
 
Do some research on different strains of bass if you are serious about growing big fish and not looking to stock it just for some weekend fun from time to time.

i put 2 carp in my 1/2 acre pond. start with minnows and let them get established, then put bluegill, catfish and then bass. thats what i was told to do.
