Finally got to make a trip to the river to try and catch sauger today. Didn't get to fish too long but did find a couple. Caught what I think to be my very first ever walleye. If TVA will ever shut the doggone gates off I think the fishing will be pretty decent. Until then I imagine it will continue to be fairly slow. Hope to be able to go back tomorrow and catch a few more.
