First Timer chosen for quota - Williamsport WMA

Hi guys,

I'm a first-time hunter and on my very first application for quota hunts, I was chosen for the November 8th quota hunt for 2 deer at the Williamsport WMA (!)

I could really use some tips & advice you'd be willing to share for the following subjects:

How is the deer hunting at this WMA?
How do I best locate a good spot to setup my tree stand/etc...?
What is the best way to scout a good spot prior to the day of hunt?
Are there any idiosyncrasies about this place that I should know?
Do you recommend a GPS?

I'm sure I'm forgetting other tips so please, if you don't mind, I'd love to hear your words of wisdom!!

hit up catman. i think he has killed deer and turkey at williamsport.

I drew the same hunt, nov 8-10. We can meet up out there before or during the hunt if you like, just pm me. I don't see a ton of deer there, but they are definitely there and I killed 2 last year.
