The fan mount I just completed from my first turkey is done!

This is something I do for every one of my mounts, for my kids after I'm gone

Nice job & hope it's your first of many. Good idea on the back. I keep a photo album of pictures and on each picture note the weapon used, county killed, beard length, spur length, & weight. I do this with my deer pics too and it's neat from time to time to flip through it and relive the hunts.

Thanks! Having lost my dad when I was barely a teenager, is the reason why I do this. I put a description of the hunt on the back of every mount I have for the sole reason of not knowing when my time will be up and I want my kids/grandchildren to at least see the story from my own words, in case I'm not here or able to tell it myself�something that I didn't/don't have. Obviously, there is more room for storytelling on the back of a deer mount...LOL.
