Friend of Wife shared two varieties of raspberry plants-Latham and one other I forgot. Both struggled-the heat was too much for one of them. The Latham produced these

Hard to tell but they are every bit as large as what you can get at Kroger. And these are pretty sweet.

Grew them in a sack BTW.
 
Wife did taste test with these 6 vs fresh from Costco raspberrys

Wife is kind of particular about her fruit. Actually pretty doggone persnickety if you ask me

Anyway, Wife says ones we grew were sweeter. End of that contest
 
Nice. I heard Dorman Red is a good raspberry for taking the heat. I'm too far south to grow raspberries but blackberries do well.
