Always been an avid deer hunter for 20+ years, particularly bow hunting. Got into turkey hunting last year. Killed a jake but no Tom. Went out about 10 today with the weather being cooler and after 2 hours, this guy came in silently putting on a show the entire way. Strutting, spitting and drumming to my hen decoys but never gobbled. First gobbler and won't be my last. 10 1/2 beard, 1 3/16 spurs. 34 yard shot.

Congrats.

Be careful though, as you might spend all deer season looking at the calendar to see how long until turkey season 😀!

Congrats! With all that activity, sounds like a "TV Hunt." Now that you're hooked, you'll start thinking about turkey hunting all the time now. In your sleep. During the off-season. Planning your next setup. Wondering which call is most effective. Which load to pattern. The list goes on and on and on. It's just an addiction. But, you'll survive. 😀 😀
