Noticed an area of dark soil in a red dirt area and checked it out. First thing I noticed were the light colored shells then saw the potshards, most were finger nail sized . The pieces pictured are the largest, 2 were impressed with something. The points were scattered around in close vicinity. It's a the first time to find what I'm guessing was afire pit. I do not dig. Would like for some of you knowledgeable people to give a age estimate. My guess would be late woodland.
