First Evening with new tooling.

My lathe came with old school traditional tool post and carbide bits. I got on You Tube and learned that there is a world of newer technology tooling out there. I upgraded and last night was the first time using the new stuff. I`m impressed and really happy.

I`m taking things low and slow, to make sure I don`t wreck anything, but am really suprised with my results.

That is nice. I've always wanted to get a good lathe. Just every time I get the money to blow, I end up spending it on more guns and/or ammo.

Where would one go about getting a good lathe at a reasonable price?

I would LOVE to have a 300 WSM 8 twist barrel put on my 300RUM action,,I think with the WSM case I could load the 230 Berger chambered with the bullet just in the case enough to fit the mag and get 2650-2700 FPSwhich would do just about anything I can with the 338 LM at a much reduced ammo cost,,
