Shot this 1.5 year old yesterday at 12:30 p.m. Almost passed on him, but I really needed some venison for the freezer. There was a foot of snow at 4,200 feet!
Hunting on the ground with my back up against a tree, he walked on the other side of the tree, maybe 10 feet away and downwind while I was munching on beef jerky, and seemed too interested in finding girls. Took him at 80 yards with my Savage smokeless, 250 grain xtp over 45 grains of AA5477. Needless to say, it looked like he exploded all over the snow.
