Well after missing a five pointer yesterday morning while hunting with poleaxe, me and my brother decided to skip class this evening and go hunting instead. After the wind died down I had two does come through. The first one that came along the trail didn't give me a shot as it ran by at about 45 yards, but about ten minutes after she ran by the next one came along, she then proceeded to do the exact same thing and started to slowly run past, only this one was about ten yards closer, so I stopped her and got a shot off at her at 32 yards. I hit her a little high and in the spine but I put a follow up shot on her and that sealed the deal. After missing a few deer over the past two years and hitting a 7 pointer last year in the shoulder but never finding it, I am more then proud to finally say I've killed a deer with my bow.
