That's what I thought last year with the pics I was getting… soon as season started, they vanished…. No visual sightings and very few if any pics on camera if I recall correctly.

That's the summer to fall range shift. Bucks often spend their summers in a different location than the fall, and it's almost always due to food resources, or habitat domination by does with fawns.
