Don't know what it was, but I have been hunting since Sep 1 & had only 2 chances to kill deer (both were young bucks). Tonight I finally connected with a mature doe!!! Never been so releaved to get the monkey off my back. by the way, straight down shots are no joke!!! I don't ever want to do that again. I was lucky enough to hit her infront of one shoulder & come out the arm pit of the opposite side, quick kill.

By the way...she was grunting at every other deer in the area that was going towards the oak tree that they were feeding at. I haven't even heard a buck grunt as much as she was...that was the coolest part about it (besides the back straps, roasts, & jerky Im about to get out of her) Also, I think she is the same doe that has been blowing at me every time I stepped in the woods for the past 3 years!
