Well my wife and I braved the weather this morning and decided to head to our place in Fayette county. We split up and went to a couple of covered stands that are about 500 yards apart in a large bean field. We were seeing several small bucks chasing when she texted me and said there was a big 6 point that we had pictures of with two does out in front of her. She has already tagged a 12 point this year and wasn't ready to tag out yet, he ended up passing her at 50 yards but coming toward me but went in the woods. Around 30 minutes later she texted me and said so does had come out into the cove in front of me that I couldn't see, as the does turn the corner so I could see them she texted and said the 6 point is out and coming to the does. I aimed my gun at the point and could see a tree moving that he was rubbing, then he stepped into a gap in the brush and I took the shot at 220 yards and he dropped in place. This is a 5.5 year old 6 point with a live weight of around 215 pounds.
