well boys i finally got my bolts back from az precision.

here is a before pic of my rifle

and after too many weeks here is the finished product!! can't wait till saturday so i can shoot her!!

That is the sweetest rifle I have ever had the pleasure of bestowing my eyes upon. I bow down to the master of rifles. My I one day have a weapon that is 1/4 the awesomeness of this!

lol thanks man. i hope she shoots a little better with the free floated barrel. i wanted to buy an expensive rifle but i just built my own. glad u like

Did you change out the barrel or have it shortened??? OR is that an optical illusion in the pic, it looks much shorter.

i started with a rem 700 sps varmint heavy barrel 308 on clearance at dicks sports

i had the 26 inch barrel cut and recrowned at 20 inches

i sent the bolt to az precision for a new bolt knob

i added a mccree chasis system that free floats the barrel and makes it mag fed

i added a egw 20 moa scope base

i added a millet 4x14 mil dot scope with target knobs and butler creek flip up caps

i added a accushot monopod with quick set feature.

trigger work by sniper7mm

paint by fastbs.

next project is a rem 700 sps varmint in 223.
 
I was lookin at a 30 MOA taper base ,,are you happy with the aluminum egw,if so I may try one,,the steel ones are like 150$$..


also when you do the 223 you might want to start with an PSS or a tactical that has the 9 twist,,the Varmint with the 12 would suck IMO..
