Nothing like waiting till the next to last day to finally put one on the ground.
I thought that this would be my first bow season in over 20 years that I wouldn't kill one. But luck and persistence finally paid off. Saw [heard] this buck cruising down in a deep holler yesterday evening 30 min before dark. Finally got a glimpse of him and gave a couple of grunts he came in like he was on a string, stopped him at 25 yards and put a 125 grain Spitfire into him. Hit a little high but luckily the exit was low. Heard him crash at the bottom of the holler. Ran back to the house and got the 4 wheeler and only had to drag him a hundred yards or so.
Special thanks to my wife for holding the flashlight and helping with the retrieval. She's one in a million!!

Fantastic, nice looking deer and especially rewarding at the very end of bow only. Hoping to have a chance at one today myself. Congrats!
