I called Reloaders Bench in Mt. Juliet. They had 4 lbs. My mother was headed that direction so I had her pick it up. Not sure what all they had but they seem to keep alot of stuff in stock, and if its out usually have it back pretty fast.

If anyone is looking I'd give them a call.

So where is the burn rate found, or how it it calculated? Is H4198 slower burning than IMR4198? Thanks for shedding any light for me. ;)

H-4198 is slower burning in a .50 caliber Savage, but many sites rank H-4198 faster burning. JMO, but I think the caliber makes a difference.

I never shot IMR-4198 in a .50, but I shot plenty of H-4198. Seems like the guys that were shooting IMR-4198 were shooting 3-4 grains less. Check out Doug's load data:

Many sites list burn rates. No site ranks the same.
