So this is my third season bow hunting. About forty five mins ago I fired my first at a live deer. Was about to draw back on a small doe then right behind I see a bigger doe. Finally get a side shot. About 35 yards and I'm dumping adrenaline. Put the dot on her and let it fly. I must have jerked. Shot behind her. So now I watch my green nock lit up across the woods but I still feel accomplished because I finally let one fly on second day out.
 
I remember the first deer I shot at with my bow. I missed her by 10' or better and sunk my arrow up in a tree lol. Hang in there. You might get another shot this morning.
 
If by chance I did hit and just thought I missed will it be alright to finish my hunt before I go check my arrow?

Id ck the arrow, they make turns sometimes when they exit unless you know for a fact you missed
 
I've shot a couple trees too... hope the next one connects! It's tough to concentrate on the shot when you got a deer standing in front of you. Good luck
 
Especially that early with minimal light. I'm pretty sure it was a clear miss and skidded across the ground.
 
climbed down a little after noon, went to find my arrow. Took a minute and finally found it. I thought my nock had quit shining, but it was still glowing green. Looked at the arrow, nope. 100 percent miss. Only thing is got a few nicks in my slick trick broadhead.
 
Hey man, dont be discouraged! I got my first archery deer up there last year. Next time youll connect I bet! Good luck, I camped up there all weekend, got busted by 3 slick heads! My buddy missed a doe today too!

Nice I have never camped up there. I am not sure why I always tend to go up there. I just like the area alot. Love Norris.
