I slept in Sunday morning.
MAN and his girlfriend went hunting.
Ducks EVERYWHERE !!!

I took a day of vacation today and we went back.
Everything locked up, very few birds in the air.
I killed one woodie.

Rekon that will wind me up with this duck hunting crap.

Small, still waters will freeze up tight, which can be a help, if you can keep your waterhole open...... you will kill some ducks. I'd say more "new" ducks will show up as this cold snap progresses and more areas freeze up. The best part of the season is yet to come, you still have around a month left, don't give in now.

A month??? when does season close?

Like grizzly said the best part of the season is just now starting. Don't give up yet just give it time and you should have some good hunts.

Get u one of the fancy "ice eaters" !! And of course you will have to use a genny :)

Go big or go home !! lol
It is an expensive sport getting started and hunting public just adds to the burden.

Dad and his buddy hunted woods reservoir yesterday and never fired a shot.

Typical of Woods..... I wouldn't really call it a duck hunting place.... a few pass through but there is nothing to keep them in the area and it isn't managed for waterfowl hunting. Basically why I quit hunting there.... no ducks!
