Just had enough of it. 15 years is long enough. Quit on Friday and struggling today but gonna stick with it this time!

yeah i made it 60 days last time but deer season got the best of me. When i quit that time i didnt really want to quit just did it to make my wife happy.

This time I (me) actually want to quit and not let this thing have such a hold on me anymore! also i know what got me last time so not gonna fall for it this time.

lucky for me all my fiends have quit now too so I dont have to be around it this time while trying to quit.

Good luck. Im now a 4-5 dips a week guy so in no real hurry toquit. Probably should be. Deer season is the worse. Turkey season is easy be I'm moving around so much and with a call in I don't have any time.

thanks guys, I am dead serious about it this time and i WILL make it and never look back.

As of now i have made it through the first 72 hours which are some of the hardest so now i just have to replace the habit with a more health one....Killing turkeys is what i think i will try hahahah.

i quit last may...very tough...i coach baseball and with hunting driving etc...very hard...but when my 5 year old started taking a water bottle and spitting in it i had to stop...quit cold turkey....takes 28 days to break a habit...

day 4 is almost over and it's getting better. Just gotta stay busy for a while. Come on turkey season! I stay SUPER busy during season.

I quit back in November cold turkey after fifteen years. This time of year is the hardest for me being outside riding the tractor or mower. You can do it just ignore the cravings and they will go away.

i quit smoking and dipping after about 12 years on feb 15th of this year. i smoked a pack a day and dipped almost a can a day!!!! i used the nicoderm patches for 4 weeks and havnt wanted one since about the 5th day i layed the tobacco down you can do it brother hang in there

Been a week today and still going strong. Much easier now but still got some cravings and my stomach is all jacked up. Not to mention I am always hungry now lol

I quit cold turkey July 2010 after 7 years.

We were on our honeymoon.

Wife said I was mean and hateful for a month when I quit.

Been better since I did, but there are times I still get cravings. Just got to get over it and keep it up.

Had a parent at school ask me the other day if I smoked or dipped. I asked why, and she said "You're always chewing on a toothpick." Guess I didnt even notice I do that since I quit.

Congrats REN!

I too am a reformed dipper, I got through it with sunflower seeds. I still chew them like crazy when hunting or fishing, but everyone is right it gets easier. The longer you go the easier it is to stay quit.

2 weeks quit today! getting much easier but man my stomach is still all tore up and out of sorts some mornings.

heck i think i "went" so much yesterday morning my abbs are sore lol
